Most of the country's [Paktisan] gems, including emeralds, garnet, pink topaz, spinel and tourmaline are located underground in North West Frontier Province (NWFP), the heartland of the Taliban insurgency.
But the Taliban exists to enforce Islam, not to hoard gems and line their own pockets with money, right?
