Barn Dance

Obama is scheduled for a town hall meeting in Albuquerque, NM on May 14. The deadline for tickets is today.  This would be a good time for Tea Party and other interested constituencies to get his ear.

My advice: Be polite, but be loud.  If you can't get tickets, show up in public areas with signs, and shout questions for him to answer.

I don't think for a moment that Obama will be sympathetic to a crowd of conservatives shouting at him about his Draconian tax policies, but that's not why it is important to attend.

Conservatives cannot continue to allow his public appearances to send the message of rainbows and puppies, and give the public a sense that we are a majority of complacent and supportive citizenry.  At worst, the negative press experiences in public will keep Obama in the White House, cutting him off from having these propaganda, "Everyone loves me" events.

The mainstream press may continue to ignore or libel the citizens in attendance, but signs that remind the press that it is the productive citizen who can buy their newspapers and support their advertisers, would also be a good idea.

Let the press know who butters their bread.  Let Obama know that 2010 is coming and that we intend to do a little House (and Senate) raising.  We'll see how productive his policies are when he's facing down a conservative, hold-and-retreat on spending Congress.

Now is the time to shape the conservative message and to get involved.  It may be too late to reverse the damage that this President and Congress has done, certainly the money that's been spent can't be put back.  It will be too late if the Congress cannot be overturned in 2010.   This Congress may realize it has gone too far, and public opinion is turning against them may be enough to hold the tide.  "Holding" is better than sliding in the abyss.

I'd love to be able to shut down this blog because the decline and fall of our once-great nation is reversed.
