Binary

Other than those things specifically prohibited by the U.S. Constitution or by state or local Constitutions and charters*, do the citizens of the nation, state, or locality have the right, through their elected Representatives, to make laws of their own choosing and to assemble, fund, and outfit a police entity to enforce the laws they make?

Yes or No?

Keep in mind that no where in that question was there a reasonableness test, nor an advocacy of policy soundness.  That is what the soapbox is for.  The question is quite simple and tests whether or not an individual truly understands our limited, Constitutional Republic.

How a person answers the question determines just how patriotic they are.

*This does not suggest that an altering of Constitutional documents is not also possible through the specified process, generally a two-thirds majority for passage.
